Why not detaching the epg from the channel list and create a separate window for the comprehensive epg? You might object that people might want to see the epg when zapping!? In case of zapping, only load the few first entries of the epg from the newly zapped channel... I don't think that the creation of bouquets will not solve the problem of the 3000 entries channel list because: - me-tv will have to handle that list in the interface to create the bouquets - the user should also have the possibility to use the full channel list to switch channels; preferably with a search/filter input field. Finally for your information: kaffeine does not have any problem with a 3000 entries channel list. Each of these satellites broadcasts over 1000 channels. Me-Tv becomes quite unresponsive when using a huge channel-list; it takes very long to start up; opening the EPG takes very long,... A work around for the user is to only keep the few channels that are of interest to him in the channel list; but I hope that it will be possible to really speed up the channel handling.
