Hi,

I don't really know. But in the mean time I tried some older versions of me-TV
and succeded with 0.5.33 which scanned without crashing. One station name was
WDR Köln which contains a german 'umlaut' (special character) and I suspect if
it is not in UTF-8 it might be either ISO-8859-1 or ISO-8859-15. But i didn't
know for sure.
Interestingly I could import the channels.conf from the older version into the
new me-TV.

Bug description:
Binary package hint: me-tv

Hi,

I'm using me-TV 0.9.1-0ubuntu1~ppa1 in Ubuntu 9.04 Netbook Remix and Desktop
Version with a Cinergy T2 dvb-t. When starting a scan for channels me-TV
crashes reproducibly under both systems after finding a few channels. When
starting from the terminal the output is:

Me TV 0.9.1

This says that a character is out of UTF-8
