Ok, i tried that and the mute behaviour remains as always, nothing changes.
Removed the original xine.config file in me-tv folder and replaced it for a
copy of the config file located in .xine folder, muted as before, renamed the
file for xine.config, worked as before. After the testing i left everything as
before, with the original xine.config file (with the ".... :Software" edit).
Add to this that the config file from xine has in that line ".... :Sound card"
but it doesn't seem to be a problem in the mute behaviour in the xine player,
as this one does only mute itself and not the entire system. Any more ideas?
