Kalau saya baca komentar2 buruk ttg America lewat milis2 ataupun orang2 yg men japri saya, saya bisa mengerti kemarahan mereka akan sepak terjang America di Iraq maupun Afgan, kalau saya bisa menjelaskan pembelaan saya terhadap bangsa ini, sedikitnya begini : It's the Bush administration policies that are bad not America, hampir 80% bangsa America menentang kebijakan2 Bush di Iraq. Penyerangan ke Iraq adalah egoisme yg sakit, keangkuhan seorang pemimpin yg menderita sakit jiwa, a distraction from the war of terror , and was based on lies and deception, sekarang Bush mengharapkan utk mengirim 40.000 ke Iraq, my God, how many more sons and daughters of America must die for Bush's ego ? Dalam satu kolom M. Jefferson menulis : America not the bad guy in Iraq, and also American cities are as bad as the streets of baghdad ! bullshit, ini tentunya penghinaan terhadap American law enforcement, juga Jefferson sesumbar bahwa America is the best and the rest of the world resenting us for it, yeah yeah yeah..the Bush administration is the best at spending hundreds of billions of tax money hanya utk perang dan menghancurkan negara lain, membuat kehancuran bagi seluruh bangsa ini secara ekonomi maupun reputasi sebagai bangsa yg menjunjung tinggi demokrasi dan kebebasan. oh ya, we re also the best at out sourcing American jobs to cheap foreign markets like China or India, we're great at insourcing cheap illegal immigrant labor and displacing American workers. yeah, here another bad news, we're not the best at education anymore, China and Europe are well ahead of us, I guess they dont teach faith based sicience. Secara menyeluruh lebih dari 30% pelajar2 kita drop out of secondary school before they graduate, the cost of colege education is out of reach for many middle class American, we're not the best at providing quality care to our citizens, setidaknya hampir 50 juta bangsa ini tidak memiliki health insurance, dan ber juta2 rakyat America hidup dalam keterbatasan asuransi. America sedang menuju kejatuhan, the good old days of being the best fails to describe the current reailty. Its going to take hard work, intelligent policies and new moral compass for American to regain the respect and prestige it once had, but lost under Bush administration. America has been a part of my life, I love this great country as much as I love Indonesia, saya pun tak bisa menutup mulut bila ada yg mengatakan " bangsa Indonesia sangat busuk" karena yg busuk adalah pemerintahnya, bangsa indonesia adalah bangsa tersabar dan bangsa yg sudi menerima dan memaafkan kejahatan pemimpin2 nya. citizen of the world salam' O
