Dear all,
Ambulance 118 jakarta will held basic life support and Disaster Management
for the policeman at Direktorat Lalu lintas Polda Metro Jaya Office, Jl MT.
Haryono No 6. This Training will be conduct April 30,2007 till May 05,2007 with
100 participants.
OVERVIEWS,
During the year 2005, there are 33,827 casualties a aresult from road
accidents. 11,610 (34,32%) of them end in death, 9,891(29,23% ) casualties had
serious injury, and 36,43% (12,326) had slight injury. those numbers increased
by 13,44% (average growth rate) from previous year. source: Directorate of road
safety and Directorate general of land transportation.
International Medical Corps together with ambulance 118 Jakarta made decision
to undertake disaster management training to increase capacity of policeman as
one of the first on site civilian to respond effectively to emergencies. Police
is the first person on the scene when there is a road accident. We would like
to provide participants, in this case policeman with the knowledge and skills
needed to render aid on site to sick or injured persons, stabilized their
condition until ambulance arrives.
Basic life support and Disaster Management is six days training course that
was adapted from program for enhanced response to emergencies( PEER) and had
been modified by Indonesian Trauma Surgeons Association Committee. this course
has been delivered in Jakarta and big cities in Indonesia
