06/08/07 23:28 Gorontalo military police arrests 14 Brimob members Gorontalo (ANTARA News) - Gorontalo military police arrested 14 members of its elite unit (Brimob) for allegedly beating a local residents. Gorontalo military police spokesman Police Commissioner Wilson Damanik said that the 14 Brimob members handed over by the military police personnel, were allegedly involved in the beating of residents last Sunday night. "We will interrogate both the Brimob members and some local residents involved in the brawl," Damanik said. He made it clear that the police will investigate every case involving police personnel, and it was totally untrue that the police is always trying to defend its members. "Every police officer who has done wrong, will be dealt with according to the law, and no one is protected," Damanik pointed out. He also called on the general public not to hesitate in reporting any police officer who has acted arbitralily against civilians.(*)
