Woman Finds Bride No. 2 for Husband

TAIF, 7 August 2007 - A Saudi woman's search for a second wife for her
husband netted an unusual candidate: Her best friend's daughter. After some
persuading, both mother and daughter agreed to the marriage, according to a
report in the Al-Riyadh daily. The woman said that she liked her best friend's
daughter because she was honest and nice and that she would make a perfect
second wife for her husband. When she got the green light from her friend, she
informed her unsuspecting husband of her plan and he gladly accepted the offer.
The woman insisted that the new wife live with them and she even paid for their
honeymoon. The report did not mention why the first wife was so keen on getting
her husband remarried.
