For the fourth time in four weeks ABC's Dancing with the Stars performance show topped the prime-time ratings in the U.S. Here's some of the numbers as gathered from the Beverly Hills Courier for the week of Oct. 11-17. CBS, which had seven of the 11 most-watched shows, was again the most-viewed network. CBS had the most-watched scripted show, NCIS; the most-watched comedy, Two and a Half Men; and the most-watched new show, Mike & Molly. Those shows were, respectively, second, 10th and 24th overall. NCIS has been the most-watched scripted program and Two and a Half Men the most-watched comedy for all four weeks of the season. Hawaii Five-0 was the most-watched new series for each of the first three weeks of the season. ABC's next most-watched shows were Dancing with the Stars results show at fourth and Desperate Housewives, which was 12th overall. NBC's Sunday Night Football game between the Indianapolis Colts and Washington Redskins was third for the week. Outside of its football programming, NBC's most-watched program was Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, which was 38th. The week's 10 most-watched prime-time programs were ABC's Dancing with the Stars; CBS's NCIS, NBC's Sunday Night Football; ESPN's Monday Night Football; ABC's Dancing with the Stars: The Results; CBS's NCIS: Los Angeles, The Mentalist and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation; NBC's nine-minute Sunday Night Football kickoff show; and CBS's Criminal Minds. As far as Canadian ratings go, I could only find ratings for the week of Oct. 4-11 (It's like they are a secret or something). The Big Bang Theory, House and Dancing with the Stars were the top three shows watched by Canadians. -- ======================================== George Antunes, Political Science Dept University of Houston; Houston, TX 77204 Voice: 713-743-3923 Fax: 713-743-3927 Mail: antunes at uh dot edu _______________________________________________ Medianews mailing list [email protected] http://lists.etskywarn.net/mailman/listinfo/medianews
