The Federal Trade Commission has sued online-dating service Match Group Inc.
for allegedly using fake love-interest advertisements to trick hundreds of
thousands of users into buying subscriptions on Match.com.

Match, which also operates the online-dating platforms Tinder, Hinge, OkCupid
