Sony Outlines New 'Full HD' Plans Featuring BRAVIA and SXRD HDTV

LAS VEGAS, March 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Sony Electronics today outlined its
plans for new BRAVIA(TM) flat-panel LCD and Silicon X-tal (Crystal) Reflective
Display (SXRD(TM)) Grand WEGA(TM) micro-display televisions with
1080p (progressive) full high-definition capabilities.
Due to ship in the second half of 2006, there will be various models with
1920 x 1080 display resolution and some products capable of 1080p input. They
are expected to complement the upcoming launch of 1080p Blu-ray products,
including Sony's recently announced BDP-S1 Blu-ray Disc(TM) player and the
VAIO(R) RC Desktop PC with a Blu-ray ROM disc drive.
