By Jay Sherman TelevisionWeek Magazine http://www.tvweek.com/news.cms?newsId=9741 NBC Universal Cable said Monday it has reached an agreement with the National Cable Television Cooperative that allows members of the co-op to carry several NBCU cable networks, including USA Network, Sleuth and mun2. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. The pact builds on an agreement already in place that allows NCTC members to carry Sci Fi, CNBC, MSNBC and Bravo. Monday's agreement marks the first time that NCTC members have been able to carry USA. The NCTC is a member-operated programming and hardware buying cooperative of more than 1,100 independent cable operators, many of which operate small to mid-size cable systems. ================================================= George Antunes Voice (713) 743-3923 Associate Professor Fax (713) 743-3927 Political Science Internet: antunes at uh dot edu University of Houston Houston, TX 77204-3011 Reply with a "Thank you" if you liked this post. _____________________________ MEDIANEWS mailing list [email protected] To unsubscribe send an email to: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
