A Tsiklon-2 rocket carrying the Kosmos satellite blasted off from the Baikonur cosmodrome at 08:00 Moscow time (0400 GMT) and the satellite has entered a target orbit, Space Troops spokesman Alexei Kuznetsov said, quoted by the Itar-Tass news agency. "Stable telemeter communication was established and is maintained with the spacecraft. Solar panels unfolded, while onboard systems of the satellite were put into a working condition and are functioning normally," Kuznetsov said.
