By THE NEW YORK TIMES Published: July 17, 2006 http://www.nytimes.com/2006/07/17/business/media/17addes.html Pete Coors, the chairman of the Coors Brewing Company and a former Republican candidate for the Senate, was arrested and charged with drunken driving in Golden, Colo., The Denver Post reported on Thursday. Mr. Coors, who has appeared in anti-drunken-driving messages for the company, is scheduled to appear in court on Thursday. "I made a mistake," he said in a written statement. "I should have planned ahead for a ride."
