Remember that time a few months ago when the "Server Update" made the
lists grind to a halt? Well apparently it hit us again, oddly enough as
we moved to the new host. Apparently some updates that are run
automatically caused this glitch to reappear and rear its ugly head.
Some of the problems you may have encountered include:
* Some posts not coming back to your email address when you post
(going to everyone else)
* Some posts not pushing though
* Your email being unsubscribed for "excessive bounces"
Yesterday I had over 100 removed from Wildfeeds because of "excessive
bounces" but they were bounce based on the first letter of their email
address. Example: All of the email addresses that begin with "M", "P",
"J", and "Z" were wiped. Many more were unsubscribed in similar
fashion, but for example, the lower half of all the email addresses
beginning with "A" and "D" were taken out. It seemed like they were
being grouped together and then dumped.
The admin of the server has been very helpful and diligent in getting
things worked for us, so hopefully we are back up to par. It wasn't
just us but some others on the host as well.
I wanted to keep you guys informed in case you got some funny emails or
server messages.
Please let me know if you still have problems or see something out of
the ordinary.
