Hi, Arcane 21. This is getting more into territory we discuss on
wikitech-l https://lists.wikimedia.org/mailman/listinfo/wikitech-l ,
which is for people who develop MediaWiki and accessories. :-)

https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/How_to_become_a_MediaWiki_hacker#JavaScript_and_CSS
and http://www.codecademy.com/tracks/javascript and
https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Gadget_kitchen might help you out. If
those aren't quite what you need, please do email wikitech-l and ask
again. :-)

Wow, your MediaWiki testers' wiki sounds really interesting: "Purpose:
To describe and display various types of MediaWiki extensions, skins,
and user scripts, with the intention of showing how they work in a live
testing environment..." I'm especially interested in the gadgets you
list at https://mediawikitesters.orain.org/wiki/MediaWiki_Gadgets -- do
you mean it to be a guide to the best generally useful gadgets?
