Short answer is that I don't know.

I gave up long ago trying to figure out the skinning. There are too many levels 
and interactions and it seems to change every time there was a new version. You 
have to really take the time to dig in and become a expert. There are several 
active mediawiki lists that the developers hang out on. I subscribe to
