Question #98089 on Medibuntu changed:

Status: Open => Solved
udippel confirmed that the question is solved:
Answer came in quickly:
It is a disease of Ubuntu's apt-get.
The error message is misleading.
It actually is a corruption in the archives, and can be dealt with simply by
sudo rm /var/lib/apt/lists/partial/*
sudo rm /var/lib/apt/lists/*
sudo apt-get update
It's a bug with a simple workaround (if known).
