So here I go translating: After playing around quite sometime, I finally succeeded to get the Buddenbrook-DVD running on Ubuntu Hardy Heron. Then there was a system update and it told, libdvdcss2 is outdated and I had the system updated. (spreoceled wheel symbol near the right upper corner of the screen). But after updated the system, I encountered the same problem (scrambled motion picture) with showing the DVD as I had initially. I looked at the site, which had helped me solving this problem before. https://help.ubuntu.com/community/RestrictedFormats/PlayingDVDs and I found out, that the key commands were: verwal...@ubuntu:~$ sudo apt-get install libdvdread3 gstreamer0.10-plugins-ugly Paketlisten werden gelesen...
