System: Ubuntu 9.10 I used the following tutorials to add DVD support for ubuntu. http://shibuvarkala.blogspot.com/2009/10/how-to-make-ubnutu-910-karmic-koala.html http://shibuvarkala.blogspot.com/2009/10/how-to-play-dvd-in-ubuntu-910-karmic.html which everything went fine as far as I could tell, I mean, DVDs play on my machine now just fine. ======= But since then this is the error aptitude reports: Could not initialize the package information An unresolvable problem occurred while initializing the package information.
