Public bug reported:

The ueagle-atm driver used e.g., in the Sagem Fast! 800 ADSL modem, needs
firmware in order to work.
It is available from http://eagle-usb.org/ueagle-atm/non-free/ (even initial
packaging). It seems the situation
with this firmware is "cloudy" in the sense that some of it has a license that
allows it to be redistributed in
binary form and some doesn't. (Hopefully the risk that someone sues someone
else for making their device
work is reasonably low).

OTOH, it is required for this (popular in some countries) device to work and it
is a nuisance to install it
manually on every upgrade. Would it be possible to add this to medibuntu?

The same situation goes for other USB ADSL modems too, like the speedtouch
stuff. It could be possible
that a single package is created for all of those (the HD space cost is
negligible).

** Affects: medibuntu
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
