Description changed to: After installing VLC 2.0 from https://launchpad.net/~n-muench/+archive/vlc, mencoder exits on launch with the following error message: "mencoder: relocation error: mencoder: symbol ff_codec_bmp_tags, version LIBAVFORMAT_53 not defined in file libavformat.so.53 with link time reference" I am running Ubuntu 11.10 32-bit. How can i fix this?
