Hi all, We are doing a performance quality improvement process for MM and are trying to streamline from ordering to stocking to supplying. Does anyone have a process in place for nursing to order supplies for a patient in the computer from MM without using the barcode scanners? We currently use OE to request supplies that aren't stocked on the floor. Other commonly used supplies are kept in the supply closets on the floor. For these supplies, nursing is used to grabbing an item from these closets, and putting a sticker on a sheet with the patient name. These sheets with stickers are entered later into MM for chargeable and non-chargeable supplies. Another question: Anyone doing this with OR where you aren't using the OR documentation or scanners? OR uses the pref cards/picklists, but has their own supply room where they pull supplies for cases. If the process is too hard to explain in an email, send me your phone #and I will call you.
