======================================

You should do all your flagging in the LH setup so that the LH sends
definitive flags and suspect flags as comments for everything you would want
results to be held back. The autoverification should be set up to stop
specimens with result comments from filing. Meditech has made several
adjustments to our interface, and it works nearly all the time. We have a
service issue out for one right now. Haven't had problems for quite a while.

Here is the custom specification for changes MT made on our interface:

The Problem:

Currently, the Coulter LH750 analyzer transmits Suspect and Definitive
flagswhich are not being captured by the analyzer interface.
What Is Being Done Now:

Users review a hardcopy report from the analyzer to evaluate the
specimenresults based on flags.
The Solution:

The solution is to have the interface send a result of "1" to indicate
thepresence of Suspect and Definitive flags and display the actual text of
theflags, e.g., "Leukopenia", "1+ Anisocytosis", "Large Platelets", as
resultcomments.
The Benefit:

The benefit will allow users to evaluate specimens in a more timely manner.
Input:

The user will have to enter three new upload codes in the analyzer
typedictionary: DEFINIT, SUSPECT and CONDITION.
Output:

A 1 will appear as the result of the test when a comment exists for
thatchannel. The associated comment text will be uploaded to that
channel'scomment segment.
