Hi, I had this same question a few years ago, and Meditech told me that these Admission routines to Cancel Pre's do not generate any NMI messages. The A11 is generated from the UNDO routine when you cancel the Admission or registration, because we are saying that the patient was not seen or admitted. So, Meditech would still have the account number and the other Vendor would delete the account number when the A11 was sent. The other problem we have is when you Pre Admit a number and never Admit or register, then cancel the number and A11 will never be sent to the other vendor. Leaving the account number in the other vendor as pre and gone on Meditech. Meditech had no plans at the time to send and event for this admission routine, so we worked with the other vendor when we could. Please share any other outcome. HTML will be converted to attachments. The meditech-l web site is MTUsers.com ====================================== We're Magic 4.9. I noticed that our NMI does not generate anything for ADM events associated with cancelling an account: CAN PRE IN CAN PRE INo CAN PRE CLI CAN PRE RCR CAN PRE REF CAN PRE ER CAN PRE SDC We have Iatric Systems ADT interface to Midas (which reads the NMI to produce HL7 transactions) and Midas has requested we send HL7 transactions when these cancel events occur in Meditech. I asked Meditech to modify the NMI to process the cancel events, but they refused since the Midas interface is not a "Meditech HL7 interface". Per Henry Jemiola NMI consultant at Meditech: " I cannot look into this issue because this is not for a MEDITECH interface. We do not support third party interfaces." Has anyone encountered this before? Were you able to get Meditech to modify the NMI to do this? I know they can as it is referenced in their KB article 9828. Is this a module that Meditech controls completely? We have no say in what it can generate? Any ideas or advice would be appreciated!
