James: We have not put our Meditech servers on VMware. However, we are moving most of our NT servers to VMware. An exception is our Data Repository. One issue was VMware doesn't currently support a 4 processor virtual machine. Also, there were some backup/failover issues with SQL Server that I don't remember in detail. I was suspicious of this technology since complexity is usually the bridesmaid of instability and unreliability. Deskview comes to mind as a older version of this sort of technology. I did some research and my fears seem to be unfounded. So far all is well. We will be replacing all of our Meditech servers in coming year, so we are interested in hearing your experiences and anyone else's about this environment too. Has anyone tried this before? _______________________________________________ meditech-l mailing list [email protected] http://mtusers.com/mailman/listinfo/meditech-l
