POSITION OPENING: DIRECTOR OF INFORMATION SYSTEMS
POSITION SUMMARY
A. JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for the development, implementation,
maintenance and management of the hospital's information and
communications technology. Responsible for departmental goals and
objectives with operating and capital budget projections. Perform
supervisory responsibilities including interpreting and enforcing policy
and procedures.
B. QUALIFICATIONS
1. Masters Degree in Information Technology (or related
field) or bachelor's degree with equivalent experience.
2. Prefer seven years experience in Information Systems
with three years in the health care environment. Three years
supervisory experience. Experience in project management of major
computer implementation. Experience in establishing goals and
objectives, and departmental budgeting.
3. Experience with Meditech Client Server Hospital
Information Systems, MSN/Picis Surgical Systems, GE PACs Systems,
(Definity G351, Avaya, Spectra Link) Telephone Systems, SANS, preferred.
C. JOB RELATIONSHIPS
1. Responsible to the Sr. Vice President/CFO and works
effectively with all members of the health care team.
2. Contributes a positive attitude and department
cohesiveness by working cooperatively with other staff members.
3. Offers criticism in a constructive manner.
4. Demonstrates a team approach
5. Chairs the MIS Committee, Co-chairs the IS Strategic
Planning Committee, Member of IS Physician Advisory Committee
SCOPE OF SERVICE
The information systems department is currently staffed by 12 members
not including the director (2 Network Administrators, Communication
Analyst, Clinical Applications Coordinator, Clinical Applications
Analyst, 3 Technical Support Analyst, 3 Application Analysts, Financial
Application Analyst)
