Robert,

We are C/S 5.4 SR 2 and also wanted to maintain a longer history than 130 days.  We requested a parameter change in the SCH Module for the "Purge Compliance Data"  to after 400 days.  This will maintain patient histories for that period of time.  Of course, you can make the date range whatever works for your facility.

Good Luck,

Subject: [MEDITECH-L] SCH DATA DURATION

***************************************

We are in the process of converting from MSM Scheduling to Meditech Scheduling and are trying to determine how to best handle some of the differences.  One area of concern is the loss of SCH detail data on Meditech that does not happen on MSM.  Currently in our Admissions system, the ADM File Maintenance Parameter is set to 130 days.  The problem is that we want Scheduling Detail History to remain on the system for longer than 130 days.  Our Legal Department uses some of this detail history.  If, for example, the hospital is asked for records on a specific patient, we are able to show them the patient had a history of NO SHOWs or CANCELLED appointments in the past.  Has any other hospital dealt with this issue?  Any input would be appreciated.
