We limit dictionary access to the pharmacy module. In the past, all the pharmacists had access and could enter new meds. This made a huge mess over the years. Very inconsistent & incomplete. Now we have only three people who have access and really just one person (me) that enters new meds, QuickScripts in OE for POM, order sets, etc... We do not have an audit system of who entered what. The staff do know to call my attention to anything that is incorrect or needs changing. Much better way of doing things.

Our managers would like to query the L regarding dictionary access.
We presently limit access to all dictionaries to a limited number of
users. This really means audit trails are just a tool that can be used
to check back... but we know who dunnit because the other person with
access didn't.
1. Is this how you do it or do you have a large group with access
and rely on audits! to catch
unusual changes? If so what are your audit procedures?
