We don't have EDM yet....... but, we have given out SDC area the Status Board. This status board layout has been very well received all over the hospital (it is probably the most popular thing we have put out there yet!!). Since the staff had already been doing Admit Assessments through PI on an OE menu, the transition was no big deal, just a more efficient way to move around the system. One of the things we're looking at is how best for our nurses to be able to keep track of the patients in the unit. We're looking at the EDM tracker (as a separate ED location from the main ED) and the NUR Status Board as options. If you've brought your SDC unit online, what have you used? What were the downsides and what worked about the choice you made? Thanks!
