Hi,

We used GetWell here too for some time, but then changed to this new vendor. I
am not sure of all the major facts as to why we made the change, but also take
a look at TeleHealth Services.

Take a look WWW.GETWELLNETWORK.COM - They provide internet access, HCIS
interfaces, patient education videos, etc through your existing cable TV
connections within your hospital.

I have it included in my IT Plan.  Should greatly improve patient satisfaction
as well as automate some documentation on patient education.

We recently added a public wireless internet circuit (DSL) in conjunction with
our wireless network for eMAR/BMV.  We don't provide any devices or support -
in fact we've published an FAQ page on our web site we plagiarized, I mean
borrowed, from another facility.  It has proved to be quite popular with
patients, vendors, consultants, etc.  Please contact me with any questions.
Thanks.

Our patients are now asking for internet access while they are recovering in
our hospital.

Does anyone provide a patient with a laptop or desktop with internet access if
requested ?
Or, if a patient has his/her own computer do you allow them to use them in the
patient room
and do you provide internet access ?

Thank you
