Title: e-sign reports for departmental reports

I was wondering if someone who is already allowing e-signing of medical records by docs in PCI would share your implementation process with me.  I know basically how it works I just have some questions about the flow and processes.



1.  Did you implement all or none or bring a few up at a time?
     If a few at a time, How did the transcription staff remember who was e-signing who was not?

2.  Does a draft get put on the medical record at the time its transcribed or do you wait for the electronically signed report?

3.  Do you have the e-signed report print to the patient location and have Unit Clerks file or is Medical Records responsible for getting the e-signed reports to the unit?

4.  Did you allow the physician to chg status to pending and edit the report in PCI? 

5.  What special reports do you use to track the outstanding status of unsigned reports?

Anything you can think of that worked or didn't work with implementation.....
