Brian,
We are a Magic site and have a beckman power processor and equipment. We
are using I2of5 without a checkdigit. I did all the research you have
done and ran into the same brick wall. We are supposed to get
connectivity from the power processor to all of the equipment later this
year. I'd be interested in changing to code 128 myself.
Thanks,
Toni =)

Subject: [MEDITECH-L] Available Barcodes for LAB Module
My site is a newcomer to Meditech and we are in the process of building
our system. Code39, CODABAR, and I2OF5 appear to be the only barcode
symbologies available for use in lab but we were looking to use Code 128
or subset C of 128 which is a compressed Code 128. We wanted to use 128
because recent standards on lab automation suggests the use of 128 and
the Beckman robotics system requires the compressed form of 128.
Is anyone using Code 128 for their laboratory specimen labels? If so,
how did you get it. I was told by the Meditech analyst that it is not
available and would need a custom quote.
Thanks,
