I would like this information also as our ED charge process is needing to be overhauled! Thank You, Carrie -----Original Message----- From: Valerie A. Portney Subject: Entering Charges via ABS module Currently we have a charge reviewer that verifies documentation and compares it to charges entered by ED staff to ensure correct assignment of Emergency Dept charges. With this, we are considering the possibility of the Coder staff actually entering the level of service charge procedure, along with other services provided such as infusions. It would be optimal to perform this function via the ABS module, since this is where the coders perform all other coding functions. Are Coders at any other facilities entering charges? If so, what module are they using and do you have some type of interface between ABS and BAR to enter the charges?
