I am not the "expert" at our facility, she is on vacation in sunny Florida! The form id used in the barcode comes from the MIS forms dictionary. When you get your Access training, you will get ideas how best to set up the forms in Meditech. We actually create the barcode in Access using the form id created in Meditech and place in the lower right hand corner of the form. We are also adding bar codes to pre-printed forms. When our Materials department is going to order a form, they let us know. Our Medical Records Director assigns it a form id in Meditech. We then have the vendor attach the barcode. It will take us a long time to get all our forms done, but we're working on it! Let me know if you have further questions. I'm sure others more knowledgable than I am will also answer post. PS, you'll love Access E Forms! The meditech-l web site is MTUsers.com ====================================== Wondering what those of you that are Meditech Magic and Access e-forms users do about barcodes on their forms. We're in the initial stages of planning our forms and would like to think ahead to when we have something like the Meditech Scanning and Archiving system. What are other users using for the form identification barcode field? We're not sure where that would pull from. Also, where on the form are you placing your barcodes? Thanks for any information you may be able to provide, Joyce.
