Currently our lab
is having a problem with our MEDINET interface to ARUP when add-on orders are
placed. This creates an "XO" in the "ORC 1" field and the order is
immediately sent to ARUP, without a site batch being created. This is
a problem, because then the specimen is not on a site batch list, which we
use as a packaging list, and the specimen is never sent to the reference
lab. Has anyone received a custom or a fix from MEDITECH for this type of
issue? ARUP is saying others have gotten a fix, but so far MEDITECH has
not offered any. Any help would be appreciated.
We will be
switching to a TCP/IP connection with auto release turned on when this issue is
resolved, are there any issues with either of those processes that I should
be aware of?
I do realize if we
did not add the order on to the existing specimen, this would not be a
problem.
