Subject: Clinical equipment tracking Our community hospitals have the problem where nursing staff find it difficult to locate equipment. One big example is IV infusion pumps. They tend to float between units and floors and even get transported out to other facilities when patients on pumps have to be transferred to tertiary care centers. There are similar problems for wheel chairs and stretchers, but IV pumps seem to be causing the most difficulty. Does anyone have suggestions?
