We're switching from IP to DHCP with a DNS server. We've been able to get our
Datamax I-4208 working with DHCP but only if we use the printer's factory
assigned name (i.e. DMX_15169) in the OPS Remote Host field. This isn't an
issue for the users because they will only see the Remote Name and not the
Remote Host but our network guys would like to use a more descriptive Remote
Host.

I spoke with Datamax tech support they told me the only way to accomplish this
was to use a Win server rather than a DNS server. Has anyone been able to do
this with a DNS server? Thanks.
