We are considering skipping the 5.5 update and going straight to 5.6. The only 5.5 item of interest are the changes to the proration rules. Has anyone used the new "Reimbursement Management" feature? Does it have the features necessary to handle really complex contracts? Our sticking point on the old proration rules are clauses where we have carve outs for mid-stay events like ECMO plus other carve outs and stop losses. It doesn't help that we interim bill and have long patient stays for preemies and other seriously sick kids. The current proration rules become much to ponderous and under powered to handle our needs. Have things changed?
