Britt, If you go into the label format dictionary and select a UNIT type label, the following keywords are available for the facility id. I think these would give you what you want: bun src name bun src addrl lbl combination bun src city bun src state bun src zip/post lbl free Becky Rebecca Estes, MT(ASCP) System Education Consultant Training, eLearning & Knowledge Management HCA Information Technology & Services t: 615-344-6976 -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Britt Watters Sent: Thursday, April 06, 2006 12:51 PM To: Meditech L (E-mail) Subject: [MEDITECH-L] Barcodes on BBK specimen labels for FDA All messages should be posted in plain text. HTML will be converted to attachments. The meditech-l web site is MTUsers.com ====================================== Our FDA inspector for BBK told us we need to use barcode identifiers for the unit number and collection facility on our autologous units that we collect here. We don't collect or process any other type of product, and do very few autologous units, so we are using pre-labeled collection bags for the autologous units. I would like to avoid having to set up a unit label in Meditech for these units - it looks painful - but there are no keywords on the specimen label format that will pull in a barcode for the unit number or facility. Has anyone else in this situation tried an NPR report to print barcode labels for BBK? Otherwise, how have you addressed this issue?
