We have a provider set up as 'Self'. Especially with Mammograms, we weren't able to find an alternative solution. Currently, we have a NL (not listed) provider established in the provider dictionary, and this provider is entered as the attending provider. However, this practice is far from satisfactory, and we were wondering if other facilities register using non physician providers of care as the attending provider. Please advise.
