I have done something very similar with a combo of a LAB
VERIFY rule and an MIS NOTIFICATION rule. The verify rule fires if the
value is greater than 500 and notifies another test has to be
performed.
Best of luck - Kevin.

make our life easier & hoping someone has an idea or a current practice that
would help us. We are looking to track confirmation tests for point of care
testing. For example if a glucose from a glucometer is greater than 500 a lab
glucose needs to be done. Does anyone have an easy way within Meditech they are
pulling data showing this confirmation. This is all a manual process right now
for us. We have to look up the patient & see if a glucose was done in the
lab within a = hour of the meter glucose. Very time consuming for us. Thanks for
help. Terri
