Title: ITS Departments, Sites, and Categories
We are bringing a number of non-radiology services onto our C/S ITS module and are having problems determining how to best structure them. The main concern is our clinics. We need to determine how they should be structured into department(s), sites and categories. I was thinking along the lines of one department called Health Clinics, and then making the different clinics separate categories. We are a single facility but have two separate hospital campuses plus an outreach clinic which, we are thinking, is the way we should set up our sites. Three sites in all.
Would like to hear from anyone who has set up their health clinics in ITS and how you structured these three dictionaries for them. Are we on the right track or way off base? Was there specific criteria used to help determine what should be considered a department, site, and category?
