I have been a strong supporter of Meditech for 14 years and overall I would say they rate high on being responsive to issues. However, over the last 2 years of trying to implement PCM we have had nothing but issues. Changing of consultants, leadership, analysts, and poor communication have really left such in a terrible credible situation with the Doctors.
As the CIO, I have discussed this with our contacts at Meditech in addition to our CFO and CEO and nothing seems to make a difference. Are there any hospital that has successfully implemented PCM? We have a conference call every week concerning the software not working and freezing up and nothing ever changes. This is specially related to RXM, PCM, PWM and EPS not POE in Order Entry.’
I would like to talk to any other hospital that is experiencing the same frustrations with poor communication and lack of progress. Even better, I would like to talk to a hospital that has gone Live and not having major issues.
