Hi Marie,
The DFT attribute logic will evaluate for each line of a multi-line query
response. However, you can work logic into the attribute to evaluate whether
there is already a temporary (not yet filed) response for the first line of the
query. If not (the cursor just moved into the first line of the response) then
default. If true (the cursor is on line 2+) then skip. This would look like
this:
DFT=IF{/[ANS%0,"QUERY"]M[1]|0 "";"DEFAULT"}
You will need to replace QUERY with your multi-line query mnemonic and replace
"DEFAULT" with the logic you were previously using to default the previous
query's response.
Let me know how it goes,

I was wondering if anyone has had the experience with a default attribute
duplicating itself in a "comment" type query. Here's the example: I have an
intervention that RT will chart on and in an assessment. There is a query that
has a default answer in the response of "Pt educated on purpose of treatment".
The comment query is set to display 2 lines (it is a multiple).
The attribute I have to default in the response is DFT="Pt educated on purpose
of treatment". The query does populate once the cursor is in that query, but
when I hit enter the response pops in again in the 2nd line of the comment.
You can line-delete it out, but I'm afraid users will be confused...is there
something more I should do to the attribute?
Thanks for everything the "L" does!!
