We have submitted an enhancement suggestion to meditech asking for
the ability to attach a cds to medications in RXM to capture data that
JCAHO is asking for medication reconciliation (i.e. Pharmacy where
filled, purpose, prescribing physician.). We have also asked for a
button similar to the one when you review allergies in RXM that states
medications reviewed that would update the date/time and user who
verified the medication list. Meditech is currently working on the
ability to launch RXM from the nursing status board. These additional
changes would bring the functions needed to make medication
reconciliation in meditech a much easier job and a central place for
tracking home medications.
The person at meditech I have been speaking with has asked that if
there are any other sites interested in these changes that they let her
know. The more sites interested the higher on their task list it goes.
The development group is meeting on 5/22/06 and this is going to be
discussed. If you would prefer you can send me your contact information
and I will forward to her or you may contact her directly. Her contact
information is Lauren M'Sadoques phone # 1-781-774-3110, email
