Tammy,

3.5 hours at full usage and no downtime is how long they generally last.
This means no powersaving mode. No doubt the time could be extended but
with ample plugs around the ER and surgery suites we haven't seen the need.
The charge times are approximately 4-5 hours from dead battery to full
charge however they rarely completely discharge. The batteries are incased
in a metal box at the bottom of the cart and we have experienced no problems
with leakage. The surgery carts have only been in use for approximately 1
year and the battery life remains good.

Currently we use the carts in the ER and Surgery but plan to implement more
when we go live with the Nursing module. However the nurses may want the
lionville carts although they are much more pricey.

Hi Steve,
What is the battery charging time and usage time for this wireless cart?
What about the battery life (one year or greater)?
I have inquired about this cart for our region. I did have concerns
regarding the battery location at the bottom of the cart and the chance of
exposure to fluids in the Operating Room environment. Are these battery
units sealed? What departments in your facility are using these wireless
carts? Thank you.

We've used several cart solutions and really like the www.infologixsys.com
carts. The SL-TQ1 is designed for a desktop with flat panel and full size
keyboard. Has 2 lockable drawers and a small workspace but takes up no more
room than the carts that take laptops. We fitted them with the ultra small
form factor Dell opitplexes and a flat panel monitor. The desktops
generally cost less, last longer and the users prefer them.
