Helen........we implemented Medhost EDMS as our ED solution in January '05.... and are now a Level II Trauma facility. But to answer your question......We looked at Ibex,among others, in choosing an electronic system for the ED but Medhost beat them all out with their touchscreen technology and maneuverability....... as for me, being the I/S support person for this program, it is the ability to modify the system..... specific to our needs. Iatric is our bi-directional interface engine between Medhost and Meditech ADM, B/AR, OE, LAB, RAD, PCI, etc. The implementation was the best with minimal issues that we are able to resolve quickly because of Medhost accessibility.....and I'm not talking help desk answering machine.......call you back when I've had my coffee.....or email your issue to "I'll have to look into it.com".......I'm talking REAL PEOPLE....in REAL TIME.
