We just went through this process. Our diagnostic imaging department was having problems because they would schedule the patient with our 'DNOS' provider (doctor not on staff). Then when they were registered, this would carry through the $T RAD module. DI would be through with the patient and produce a report all in the same day, so the DNOS would appear on the report. We finally gave the schedulers in DI the provider dictionary, gave them proper training, and this works well for us. (i.e.: same day transmission of results to Provider) Please keep in mind that the Provider in question has never been entered into our Provider dictionary.
