I'm looking for some PTH contacts who either have slide and cassette labellers linked to Meditech or would like to. Our health region and several others that I have talked to are very interested in slide and cassette writers and linking them to Meditech. Our inquiries to Meditech seem to indicate that this issue is firmly in the lost world of development and it doesn't sound too imminent. I had been under the impression that using slide and cassette writers with Meditech was, if not ready, would be available soon since it was something that many if not all PTH labs were interested in. So I'm a bit surprised at this situation. It seems all the PTH users that I have talked to want this, so I presume there is an even larger number out there that is also interested and I'm sure if enough do, we should be able to pressure Meditech to proceed in a more timely manner. I look forward to hearing from other PTH users on this issue.
