Normy & Susan:

First, you'll need an OA message (in the MIS OA MESSAGE dictionary) for
the application (OE? NUR?) that you're doing it from. Here's an example
of an ADM OA message:

   Application ADM Last Edited by IS.XXX on
02/01/2006-0710
   Mnemonic MCR-DISCH Description Medicare discharge notify
   Active      Y       Reformat Y    Width 79

   This Medicare inpatient has been discharged:

   [f pt name]
   [f pt acct num]

   Patient's Location? Send To Patient Via E-Mail?
   Patient's Attending/ER Dr?             OA/Fax/Both
Spool Group

   Location(s)                                      User(s)
                                                 IS.XXX     SMITH,JOE
                                                 IS.YYY     JONES,JAMES

Then, you'll need an attribute similar to this:

[EMAIL PROTECTED]"Y"
FCL1= %MIS.OA.MSG.auto("MCR-DISCH",Q),
[EMAIL PROTECTED]("Discharge Notification has been sent to PFS")}

Finally, if you're sending the notification to your hospital e-mail (not
MOX), you'll need to make sure the users' e-mail address is in their
entry in the MIS USER dictionary. Let me know if you have other
questions, thanks!

Good Afternoon "L"

I am writing looking for an attribute to trigger an OA message to
ancillary
departments when a patients allergies are edited. I have not done this
from
OE before but realize it can be done. Could someone please let me know
how
to do this and what attribute should be used.

Thanks so much
